Depois de hoje, parei pra ouvir o podcast do Lúcio Ribeiro e do Massari (bem bom, aliás). No #70, Scarlett Johansson cantando Boys don't cry é soft porn.

Descobri que ela apareceu, no Coachella de 2007, junto com o Jesus and Mary Chain (que, segundo o NME, está preparando disco novo) cantando Just like honey.

Fiquei escutando J&MC, lembrando de quando ouvi, pela primeira vez, Darklands, Snakedriver e Reverence. Pensei no quão mal isso deve ter feito pra minha cabeça (agora já não tem volta).

Lembrei de pesquisar quem é a menina que canta no Sometimes Always com eles. Ela chama Hope Sandoval e cantava no Mazzy Star uma música chamada Fade into you. Bacaninha.

Dessa época, lembro também do Nick Cave cantando Red Right Hand, Where the wild roses grow e Into my arms.

Isso tudo foi um pedaço importante da trilha sonora da minha vida aos 17 anos. No video, Sometimes Always mais uma vez.

When you’ve listened only to a part of a long podcast, the phone doesn’t remember where you were up to, so if you go back to it, you have to search around for the point where you left off.

In any case, it’s the best phone I’ve ever had and I’m loving it.

I also skipped the parts about call quality and battery which he seemed to like a lot. If you are one of those - you know who you are - that are all picky about fairness, go check the original article.

I'm just saying that if this is really the best phone Joel ever had - and I'm not caught in some soft irony post here -, this says more about Joel than about this particular phone. Which seems, from this review, a compact brick of crap.

Acreditar em algo não é só acreditar em algo. Ou, como disse o Cortázar, abrir uma lata de sardinha não é abrir a mesma lata de sardinha até o infinito. Acreditar é também acreditar nas consequências lógicas - por definição? - do que se acredita.

Há, nesse planeta, gente que acreditava que os tais crop circles eram feitos por coisas de outras galáxias. Alguém, então, assumiu a autoria e o assunto - se já não antes - agora dava-se por encerrado, certo? Não tão rápido. Essa mesma gente passou a acreditar então que, senão todos, alguns dos crop circles eram feitos por coisas de outras galáxias.

Até aí, Inês rezou três pai-nossos, acendeu uma vela pra Iemanjá, conferiu o horóscopo do dia e foi morta. Amigos imaginários podem ouvir tudo, saber tudo, perdoar tudo. Porque não desenhar tudo? Se já chegamos até aqui...

O que dá medo, e que deveria ser um indício que devemos repensar essa nossa espécie atormentada é perceber as consequências. Que há gente que acredita que, em se havendo coisas em outros planetas que possuam espaçonaves e saiam boiando pelo espaço afora, o que elas provavelmente fariam seria viajar secretamente de planeta em planeta capinando círculos nas plantações.
